The challenge has started. All artists have to do is make a drawing with ink every day of the month and post it online. And of course there are hashtags, #inktober and #inktober2019, that can be used to find the latest art.
Jake Park started sharing his ink illustrations in a monthly marathon to perfect his skills and push himself to create more. It has grown into a really positive event for the online art community. It is a chance to embrace fellow artists and post whatever you feel like.
The prompt is totally optional. It can be used for a spark of inspiration or looked at as guard rails to keep you on track. Designers often have to think quickly to come up with creative solutions. It is fun to see how many ideas can come from a single word.

Ahmed Aldoori has been out of the studio life for the last few years, choosing instead to build up his social media brand and support himself through Patreon. In this interview, he tells Bobby how he tamed the various monsters on this journey: anxiety, insecurity, procrastination, and the apex predator of them all, the social media monster, coming out the other side and succeeding on his own terms.

I will be sharing personal work and a bit of my design and illustration process. My journey as a creative has taken me from Studio art at HSU, to design for tech start-ups, running my own design company, to where I have ended up now, teaching graphic design and game design classes.
This website is a hub for learning and collaboration. Our first workshops will be held in the fall. One day we plan to open a gallery space and shop. Until then, let's make some art.
